The center

The Ana Abrão Center - Assistance, Teaching and Research in Breastfeeding and Human Milk Bank is the former Incentive and Support Center in Breastfeeding (CIAAM). Its name was given in honor of Profa. Dra. Ana Cristina Freitas de Vilhena Abrão, a nurse who donated a large part of her professional life so that this Complementary Agency could be today a reference in Breastfeeding.
Centro Ana Abrão is the Human Milk Bank of UNIFESP/ Hospital São Paulo. In this environment, the collection, processing and distribution of human milk from donations takes place, as well as outpatient activities (breastfeeding, nutrition, psychology, neonatal jaundice).
